O3RDME93.INF 4/6/93 The 3 files of data containing vuv cross sections of ozone at 195, 228 and 295 K are arranged in files with points in ascending order of wavenumber. The file O3XVUVR.XSC contains the cross sections measured at 295 K, O3XVUVD.XSC at 195 K, and O3XVUVM.XSC at 228 K. The points are not evenly spaced in wavenumber, or wavelength. This data is published in the March 20, 1993, edition of the Journal of Geophysical Research, 98(D3): 5205-5211. The files sent supersede the old high resolution measurements in the region where the two sets of data overlap (240-254 nm). The files consist of one initial title/label line; a second line labelling the two columns of the data; and then a number of lines of data, each line corresponding to a measured point, and consisting of first the value of the wavenumber position, and second the value of the cross section/molecule (sigma) of ozone at that position. A FORTRAN format statement for reading the data lines could be: FORMAT(1x,F10.3,3x,E11.3) There are three additional information files included: this one; a file containing the publication information of the articles in which this data was presented (including title, authors and address, journal reference, and the abstracts); and a third information file containing the title lines of all of the data files.
