Location: This conference will be held at the Gutman Conference Center which is on the ground floor of the Monroe C. Gutman Library of the Harvard Graduate School of Education. The Conference Center is located at 6 Appian Way in Harvard Square, central to much of the University, and surrounded by many restaurants and shops.
Poster Session: The conference will include an open poster session. If you intend to participate, please indicate this on the registration form.
Email: Email will be accessible during the conference with terminals in the area adjacent to the meeting room.
Accommodations: We have reserved a block of rooms at the Sheraton Commander Hotel, 16 Garden Street. The discounted rate is $195 per night for a single or double room. This rate is applicable from Sunday, May 14 to Saturday, May 20, 2006. This hotel is within convenient walking distance to both the Gutman Conference Center and the Observatory. In order to take advantage of the discounted rate, you must make your reservation no later than 5:00pm on April 14, 2006, by calling 1-888-627-7121, identifying the Harvard BH 2006 Conference group block. Banquet: The conference banquet will be held on the evening of Wednesday, May 17, at the Sheraton Commander Hotel. The banquet speaker is Professor Donald Lynden-Bell. The banquet fee is $90.
Parking: Unfortunately, parking is unavailable for conference participants at the CfA. In addition, all day on-street parking is virtually impossible to find in or around Harvard Square. In many areas, on-street parking is prohibited without a resident permit. Click here for information on five public parking facilities within walking distance of the Gutman Conference Center and one parking facility located at the Alewife T station. If you are planniing to drive to the Gutman Conference Center, we advise you to park before registering for the conference. Be sure to leave yourself plenty of time to park.
