Second Magellan
Science Symposium
First Announcement
This
is the first announcement of the Second Magellan Science
Symposium to be held at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for
Astrophysics (CfA) on 29-30 October 2007. The
purpose of this meeting is to
showcase the excellent science
being done with the Magellan telescopes and
provide a forum for
the interchange of scientific results among members
of the Magellan scientific community. This is an open meeting,
so any
interested
parties are welcome to attend, however
admission will be restricted to
individuals
who pay the registration
fee.
The symposium will be held in the Phillips Auditorium (see
the Map
Page).
We have blocked reservations for rooms at the Hotel Tria and
Sheraton Commander Hotel, both easy walking distance from
the CfA. More information about these accommodations, as well
as a note on alternative hotels can be found on the Accommodations Page.
There will be a Banquet on Monday, 29 October, tentatively planned
to be
held at the Harvard Faculty Club. Details can be found on the

Page.
The deadline for Registration is 15 Sept 2007, after which a late fee
will be assessed. Abstracts must be submitted by 15 Sept 2007. There
will a poster
session each day at lunch.
