The Island Explorer features eight bus routes linking hotels, inns, and
campgrounds with destinations in Acadia National Park and neighboring
village centers. Island Explorer buses will stop anywhere that the driver
considers safe, upon request of a riding passenger, or if flagged by a
passenger needing to board. The Jordan Pond route travels by the
Asticou's main entrance where the conference is held. The other four inns listed for conference lodging are located on or very near this route. It
should be noted that the first bus leaving from Bar Harbor (Ledgelawn Inn) is at 9:15 am and depending
on which Inn you are traveling to the last bus
reaches the Asticou at about 5:30pm. Fall schedules go into effect on September 1. Check their
