Additional guidelines for preparing and submitting papers for the SOHO-23 Proceedings are listed below.
- Copyright Forms: If you did not sign a copyright form at the meeting, you must sign a Copyright Form and return it to the editor via postal mail (Steven Cranmer, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, 60 Garden Street, Mail Stop 50, Cambridge, MA 02138, USA). Original signatures are required (i.e., not copies, faxes, or scans). In the Copyright Form, please include the full title of the meeting: "SOHO-23: Understanding a Peculiar Solar Minimum."
- Image Permissions: Permission must be secured by the authors for publication of figures that have previously appeared in print elsewhere. The ASPCS provides a sample Permissions Form that can be used.
- Preparing Papers: For more information about preparing conference papers, authors are directed to the helpful ASPCS Author Information page. This page contains download information for the LaTeX template files that are to be used. There is also additional information in the PDF version of the Instructions for Authors, including the formats for figures, tables, equations, and reference citations.
- Please avoid space management commands such as \vspace and \hspace. Also avoid using author-specified definitions or custom LaTeX packages.
-
Figures:
- All figures should be in encapsulated postscript (.eps) format.
- Color figures are permissible, but the additional cost of printing the color figures will be charged to the authors by ASP. The exact price for each page containing a color figure will only be known once the total number of color pages is known, but it tends to range between $150 and $500 per page. Color figures should be submitted in CMYK color mode (no RGB) in order to preserve the best representation of color shading.
- Please use only the commands \plotone, \plottwo, or \plotfiddle to dislay figures in the LaTeX papers.
- Submitting Papers: We have set up a special GMAIL account to which you may email your papers. The email submission should contain all of the LaTeX source files needed to compile the paper, including individual figures, as well as any image permission forms. Authors can combine these files into a single compressed zip or tar.gz file and include that file as a single attachment. Please send all submissions to: soho23proc@gmail.com.
- Questions? Please direct them to either Steven Cranmer or to the soho23proc@gmail.com address.
