Title: Primordial Generation of Magnetic Fields

Abstract: The origin and evolution of galactic and intergalactic magnetic fields is an unsolved problem in cosmology. I will review our current state of knowledge, describe some recent work on the generation and amplification of magnetic fields in accretion disks, and mention some consequences for star formation at early times.
