Title: The Star of Bethlehem: The Legacy of the Magi

Speaker: Michael Molnar

Abstract: My investigation of Roman coins revealed that astrologers monitored Aries the Ram for events in Judea. If their practices are applied, the celestial conditions of April 17, 6 BC point unambiguously to the birth of a great king under the sign of Aries. On that day the regal star of Zeus (Jupiter) was "in the east" in Aries and was accompanied by other powerful astrological conditions. During that time the advent of the Messiah was anticipated; thus, this astrological portent is the likely basis for the Star of Bethlehem.
