Title: The First 10-36 Seconds

Speaker: Marc Kamionkowski

Abstract: Recent experimental results suggest that we are on the right track with inflation, an idea---rooted in particle theory---for understanding the smoothness of the Universe and the origin of the expansion. I will explain how Future measurements, such as those of the polarization of the cosmic microwave, may help elucidate the new physics responsible for inflation.
