Title: Early Results from the Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer Mission

Speaker: Warren Moos

Abstract: The Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE), launched June 24, 1999, is exploring the far-ultraviolet universe, 905 to 1187 A, with high spectral resolution. The sensitivity of this NASA mission is sufficient to examine lines of sight throughout the Milky Way and to use active galactic nuclei as continuum sources for absorption line studies of extra-galactic gas clouds. Early results from the mission will be presented.
