Title:
The Stellar Structure of Irregular Galaxies
Abstract:
I will discuss two on-going projects aimed at determining the structure
of the stellar component of irregular galaxies, the tiny galaxies of the
Universe. The first project uses observations of the stellar kinematics
to infer the intrinsic shape of these galaxies. The second project
explores the extent and star formation history of the extreme outer
parts of irregulars through very deep broad-band imaging.
