Fairbanks, Alaska:

The FIRS-2 had a successful balloon flight from Fairbanks, Alaska on April 30, 1997, in support of the Japanese satellite ADEOS. This was the first flight after installing a novel beamsplitter and resulted in our most complete data set to date. The following images were provided by Wes Traub (SAO) and Chuck Crocker (National Scientific Balloon Facility).
