Known Problems
Black-listing of CfA e-mail addresses
Mar. 31: 11:50. A number of ISPs have blacklisted CfA e-mail addresses.
E-mail sent from here (circulars, ACKs, designation messages) to addresses
at those ISPs are being rejected. If your ISP is on this (possibly
non-exhaustive) list (the date indicating when we noticed the
black-listing):
you will have to contact them and get CfA removed from the blacklist.
It is worth noting that we see a lot of SPAM with From: lines suggesting
that it came from cfa.harvard.edu, but every single example had a faked
From: line, as evidenced by reading the RFC-822 headers. Any ISP that
blacklists CfA is doing a From:-line check only.
New observer
Mar. 28: 16:57. E-mail to P. Arguelles at the domain casamarciano.com,
informing him of a newly-assigned
observatory code has bounced with the error message "relay not permitted".
Said observer should contact the MPC and supply another e-mail address.
DISCSTATUS reports
Feb. 21: 16:10. A number of DISCSTATUS reports have bounced back.
