Strange New Planet Baffles Astronomers

HAT-P-1

The newly discovered world HAT-P-1 (shown here in an artist's rendering) has baffled astronomers, since it is puffed up much larger than theory predicts. HAT-P-1 has a radius about 1.38 times Jupiter's but contains only half Jupiter's mass.
