Organizers: Meeting Description: The emergence of attosecond laser pulses represents one of the most exciting developments in ultra-fast laser science in the past few years. Attosecond pulses are new tools for investigating electronic wavepacket motion on the time scales which this motion occurs in nature, the atomic unit of time. Atomic and molecular physics research at these new time scales may well bring a revolution in our knowledge and understanding of matter. The goal of this Topical Group is to identify and work on the main theoretical challenges in attosecond-scale driven atomic and molecular systems by bringing together theorists and experimentalists.
