Aerial
view of Biosphere 2
Casita Common Area
Student Casita
Village
Located on the foothills of the beautiful
Catalina Mountains, the Biosphere 2 campus
provides a non-traditional yet accessible venue.
The facilities of the B2 Conference Center
comprise a Campus Village of 28 rustic Santa Fe
style houses holding 106 double-capacity sleeping
rooms and a number of double-occupancy offices.
The accommodations are beautiful but as "dorms"
they are a bit spare. Bedding, a set of towels,
shampoo, soap, and lotion are all provided.
During your stay at B2 you will be residing in a
rustic Santa Fe-style house.
These houses contain everything you need for a
comfortable stay.
Each casiita has from three to five bedrooms and
come complete with in-suite kitchens, living
areas, and high-speed internet access, the 3-5
bedroom casitas are all in easy walking distance
and provide the perfect place to unwind and
socialize in-between or after meetings.
These comfortable accommodations all contain easy
high-speed wireless internet access and central
air conditioning.
Additional blankets and an extra pillows are
available in the closet, along with an iron and
ironing board. At night, the casita village is
well lit, but the surrounding property can be
quite dark. There is a flashlight in each bedroom.
Come prepared for encounters with native wildlife
common to the area.
The Winter
School is supported by grants from the Army
Research office (ARO) and the National Science
Foundation(NSF).
