 Harvard-Smithsonian Digital Video Library

The Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics has built an extensive collection of digital video materials supporting STEM education reform. This collection has come about through a decade and a half of work and includes the source materials for well-known television programs such as A PRIVATE UNIVERSE, along with professional development materials created for Annenberg/CPB. These items contain some of the best known and most frequently used video materials currently available for STEM education reform. The collection consists of some 3,500 hours of video footage, archived in digital form and indexed through a searchable database.

This project assembled and manages an extensive collection of STEM digital video materials produced by the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. The project established a library of 350 hours of digital video materials supporting STEM education. The video is accessible via the Web as a resource for teachers, educators and others:
