Private Universe Project in Mathematics
Research shows that children formulate extraordinarily interesting and complex mathematical ideas, even at very young ages. The six K-12 teacher video workshops demonstrate and honor the power and sophistication of these ideas, and explore how mathematics teaching can be structured to resonate with children's sophisticated thinking. The workshops and companion interactive Web site offer a rare opportunity to follow the mathematical development of one group of students throughout Grades 1-12 and show students actively engaged in math and mastering complex math concepts.
