  indeed, in miriad3 (following the BIMA convention) we did use the
first two channels as that special average. But with (many) spectral
windows and some of them different sizes, this really doesn't make
much sense anymore, and with CARMA/miriad4 we abandoned this.

If you do need those, they are easily constructed using a line=wide,2,....
but setting up a special start, step and width parameter, i think.

If you think we've missed the boat on something, we can see if this can
be resurrected, and added someplace else.
