Subject: Re: SMA MIRIAD Bug Report

Dear Vivien,
Thank you for submitting bug report via SMA software
bugReport system. The problems that you described below
were reported by Eric Keto. In genral, the problems were
caused by inconsistence in software management; we have responded
Eric Keto,
http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/sma/miriad/download/QandA/eketo5sep2012.html.
Within an half hour, we will have IDL programmers' meeting to
discuss the IDL problems and find a way to solve them,

Occured_Notes: uvflag: beta 09-Jan-10 Invert: version 1.1 27-Jun-2012

Description: Polarization data: 120809_03:14:49 (4GHz)
Visibilities are generated from IDL/MIR. Several issues:
1. uvflag with edge keyword leads to Segmentation fault.
2. invert halts without error messages, eventually quit with no outputs. However, miriad4 from the carma
repository seems to work (built with option --with-telescope=sma).

==== Comparison case of polarization data 070810_05:07:05 (2GHz only passband) using smalod to generate
visibilities works well with either the SMA beta version or the carma repository version
