Hi Sheng-Yuan,
Here is a recap for the things that we
agreed on. Basically, Charlie Qi will produce two
mir2miriad.libs - one from the Miriad_CVS distribution
and other from SMA beta distribution with a usage note
for users to start IDL/MIR.
Meanwhile, we will keep supporting two miriad outputs.
The IDL-miriad output is mainly for imaging, which only works
for a few relevant Miriad tasks. Charlie Qi will work
with Qizhou Z. to make a list of those programs. For the debugging
purpose, SMA beta will keep the checking subroutine. Charlie
will make a note to MIR-Miriad users for using 'options=nochk'
if they prefer to using SMA beta for imaging with
their IDL2miriad output data.
Charlie Qi was suggested to work with you, Mark G., Qizhou Z.
to note the coordinate system, frequency-velocity setup and
the Miriad variables converted from MIR/IDL weights in SMA wiki
page for now and possibly a programer manual for the idl2miriad path.
Taco may provide a file for SMA antenna coordinates in the equatorial system.

      Jun-Hui

ps: Miriad will refer IDL-Miriad users to Charlie Qi's web-page for
    detailed guidance.

Dear Jun-Hui and all,

Sorry, I just realized that I missed the telecon earlier. There was a family
gathering which lasted late :(
At any rate, about idl2miriad, as noted in the agenda, Charlie had helped compiling
an updated object library, and had passed that to me. I also inquired local users here to
report related problems (but heard nothing other than Vivien's earlier report).
If there is any action item for me from today's meeting, do feel free to let me know.

best,
sheng-yuan
