Date: December 2 (Friday), 2011
Time: 10:00 to 11:00 am (extended to 12:30pm).
Location: 160 2nd Floor (M-240)
Agenda: Support ad hoc SMA correlator modes,
new features to seal holes in handling SMA data (usage errors).

New features in next SMA Miriad beta 1.4.* release

1. Mapping SMA correlator spectral chunk ID to the serial number of spectral window in Miriad

uvindex vis=111108_09_rx0.lsb options=smacorr

prthd in=111108_09_rx0.lsb options=smacorr

2. Offline flag for corrupted variables and correlations

smacheck vis=111108_09_rx0.lsb flagval=flag var=systemp range=0,500 \
	options=visflag visrnge=0.0,1E5

3. Reject corrupted visibility values in smauvplt and smauvspec

This feature is coded as default for smauvplt and smauvspec.
To disable this fuction, add "options=corrupt" in usage commands

4. Track down the detailed information on the bad correlations

smauvspec vis=111108_09_rx0.lsb axis=freq,both device=/xs nxy=3,7 options=errMsg

5. Handling csh-script

http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/sma/miriad/spec/SMAscripts/
A new entry: ad hoc correlator mode producing number of spectral windows less than 49
by randomly skipping SMA correlator chunks in 4 GHz band. The correlator chunks have
hybrid spectral channel resolutions. Some of the spectral windows may be filled with
corrupted correlations.

6. pre-release SMA Miriad beta 1.4.*
The pre-release has been available on CfA public computer system http://www.cfa.harvard.edu/sma/miriad/manuals/Where/
The beta-release will be available to everyone next week.
