Basic Information on mossdi2

Task: mossdi2
Purpose: Mosaic Steer CLEAN algorithm
Categories: deconvolution

MOSSDI is a MIRIAD task which performs a Steer CLEAN on a mosaiced
image or cube.

Key: map
The input dirty map, which should have units of Jy/beam. No default.

Key: beam
The input dirty beam. No default

Key: model
An initial model of the deconvolved image. The default is 0.

Key: out
The name of the output map. The units of the output will be Jy/pixel.

Key: gain
CLEAN loop gain. The default is 0.1.

Key: niters
The maximum number of iterations. The default is 100.

Key: cutoff
Iterating stops if the maximum sigma in the residual falls below
this value. The units of this are sigma. Each pixel in the residual
is scaled by the theoretical sensitivity to determine its sigma value.
default is 0.

Key: clip
This sets the relative clip level. Values are typically 0.75 to 0.9.
The default is 0.9.

Key: region
The standard region of interest keyword. See the help on region for
more information. The default is the entire image.

Key: options
Extra processing options. There is just one of these at the moment.
positive Constrain the deconvolved image to be positive valued.

Key: maxmiter
Maximum number of minor iterations for which change in
sqrt(thresh) is < eps; if maxmiter is exceeded, deconvolution
of plane terminates. In some cases, mossdi doesn't make it to
rmsfac if iter is large, it can run for hours and hours and
hours. maxmiter and eps can be used to keep mossdi from
wasting time.
Default: 20

Key: eps
Deconvolution terminates if the change in sqrt(thresh) is less
than eps for maxmiter consecutive minor iterations
Default: 0.0001

Key: log
Logfile with a summary of the deconvolution for each plane.
Default: mossdi2_iteration.log
