Run Miriad

After installation of the Miriad package, one may need to set the environment. At the beta site for SMA Miriad, installation notes are provided.

After setting up the environment, one can enter Miriad by typing:

jupiter.cfa.harvard.edu% miriad

Then a prompt miriad% pops up indicating that one has entered Miriad environment. The Miriad shell provides a user interface. There are a few useful Miriad commands in the Miriad front-end:
