Hybrid Spectral Resolution

Note that for hybrid spectral resolutions across the multiple spectral windows, in particular when very high spectral resolutions are used for a few windows and the rest of are lower, the Miriad code uvaver treats all the spectral channels equally in averaging. This may cause that the noise in the high spectral resolution chunks dominates the continuum data. Users may separate the high and low spectral chunks before forming continuum data using uvaver. Or, user may resample the spectra while the data is loaded to Miriad using task smalod. The antenna gains might be derived from the uniformly sampled data set and then copy to the spectral line data using gpcopy.
