subject:	Code version updates

Starting last Thursday night, we began taking data using only the SWARM correlator (no ASIC correlator). This involved substantial changes to the online software. I have modified the codeVersions file in the data directories, to reflect the dates on which certain pieces of the online software were changed. Specifically, the programs dDSServer and dataCatcher had their revision dates changed to 161007 . In the past, the codeVersions file also contained a date for the program in_server, which controlled the ASIC correlator. Since the ASIC correlator is not being used in this new mode, int_server no longer is listed in the codeVersions file. The date on the program setLO was not changed, because no changes to setLO were required for SWARM-only operation.

It is possible that we will take some additional tracks with ASIC; no formal decision has been made to turn it off permanently. If we do take additional ASIC tracks, I will revert the software, including the codeVersions file, back to the old state.

Please let me know if you would like any additional changes to the codeVersions file.

Thanks,

Taco
