Hi Alice,

I just checked NEPTUNE with free -m, it gave

total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 128996 127064 1932 0 460 111483
-/+ buffers/cache: 15119 113876
Swap: 44155 0 44154
I believe the used 113876 MB in "-/+ buffers/cache" is available for allocation when an application like "IDL" tries to allocate more
than what is "free". It should work if CF allows single users to use the server's full capability.
