The Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA) combines the
resources and research facilities of the Harvard College Observatory (HCO)
and the Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory (SAO) under a single director.
The CfA is a thriving research collaboration between
two great observatories, but it is not a separately incorporated legal
entity. Therefore, tax-deductible contributions in support of the CfA
should be made to either the Harvard College Observatory or to the
