UVCS MISSION LOG ---------------- Date: 02 Dec 1995 ----- GSFC Time: 19:00 - 24:00 ---------- Compiled by: S. Fineschi ------------ File Name: 95.12.02.c.log ----------- UVCS Activity: Substitution heaters phase (con't) -------------- SOHO Activity: -------------- EOF Staff: L.D. Gardner ---------- S. Fineschi (Instrument Operation Scientist) The temperatures of the substitution (non-op) heaters have been monitored (see sheets attached). Emergency Meeting (h 21:23) A PLM recofiguration occurred (i.e., S/C s/w jumped to the redundant side of the substitution heaters) when by mistake a substitution heater was turned on. The error originated from a misunderstanding in the terminology. In the S/C procedure, the "substitution" heaters are called "non-op" heaters. They are the same, but a FOT operator did not know that. Note: In the TLM of S/C redundant side, the currents drawn by the are shown: QIU2: TSU current QIUB: REU current The values of the currents are close (within 10%) to those expected (see the attached snapshot of the Aux NEWTOCC window). In the primary side, the heaters current readings are grouped as follow: Heater A: CDS, Celia I, Celias A, UVCS REU (~ 2.88 A) Heater 1: EIT, SUMER, FTSS heater, UVCS TSC (~ 3.0 A)
