VEX will travel West to East, and MEX, East to West as seen in the sky. On October 23-24, 2006 both spacecraft will be at the same solar radial. Recordings of VEX and MEX's radio carrier signal will be used to search for Faraday rotation fluctuations due to waves in the solar corona. UVCS will observe H I Lyman line to determine kinetic temperatures, average densities and outflow speeds.
