Instrument teams have been informed of the event. By the end of the DSN pass ending at 1800 UTC SUMER, MDI, GOLF and VIRGO had been turned on and brought to at least a safe state. During the next pass (1950-0210 UTC) UVCS, EIT, LASCO and SWAN will be in turn.
