Uzzo: Commander, Planner Command file: 08.05.08.13:01:45.cmd.log Activity: --------- 1) Place UVCS in Modified Hard Safe Configuration Sequence: Manual SCI_SPEC: Following completion of Science Observations, UVCS is placed into a modified Hard Safe configuration in preparation for the SOHO High Gain Antenna Keyhole Period of May 2008. OVI and LyA Slits are set to 100 microns, instrument is rolled to nominal East (35156 Engineering Units). Detector High Voltage is ramped down and then turned off. The Mirror is moved to 1.5 Solar Radii with 1.5 mm overocculting. UVCS Aperture Door is also closed 708 steps, Internal Mirror / Occulter Heater set to 100% duty cycle (64). UVCS removed from ESR Warning and Experiment Offpoint list at approximately 14:08 and 14:13 UT, respectively. TSU Substitution Heater (Circuit #84) turned on at approximately 14:23 UT. FOT using ESR Limit Set, Substitution Heater (Circuit #84) set to 50% duty cycle. Power problem with ECS commanding interface precluded ability to transition of UVCS swmode from DIAG to STBY. Matters were further complicated by GSFC UPS maintenence, and necessity for repair of damamged ECS hardware. Command interface machine remained down until after end of pass for DSS-24 (station UVCS was planned to safe using). FOT proceeded with their portion of UVCS safing between 1407 and 1425 UT. UVCS remains in DIAG mode.
