OVI and LyA Slits are set to 100 microns, instrument is rolled to nominal East (35156 Engineering Units). Detector High Voltage is ramped down and then turned off. The Mirror is moved to 1.5 Solar Radii with 1.5 mm overocculting. UVCS Aperture Door is also closed 708 steps, Internal Mirror / Occulter Heater set to 100% duty cycle (64). UVCS removed from ESR Warning and Experiment Offpoint list at approximately 12:31 and 12:40 UT, respectively. TSU Substitution Heater (Circuit #84) turned on at approximately 12:45 UT. FOT using ESR Limit Set, Substitution Heater (Circuit #84) set to 50% duty cycle. New Business: DAWN spacecraft emergency that caused the loss of DSS-24 pass for 19 February, resulting in a 20 hour, 25 minute gap in contact with SOHO was lifted after UVCS safing (DSS-24 no longer lost for DAWN emergency) however, a subsequent loss of uplink for DSS-65 (Transmitter declared "RED", but still downlink capable) would still have necessitated UVCS safing.
