Astronomy
For Undergraduates and Graduates
Alyssa A. Goodman
Discussion of a wide range of astrophysical systems, their physical
processes, and observed characteristics. Topics include the structure
of stars; energy generation and element formation in the sun and the
stars; supernovae and supernova remnants; star formation; physical
processes in the early stages of the expansion of the Universe.
Prerequisite: Physics 143a (may be taken concurrently).
