My Resume
Welcome. I am an instrument programmer in the
Optical and Infrared Astronomy Division
at the Harvard-Smithsonian
Center for Astrophysics
.
I write control software for a few instruments in development and in use, including
MegaCam
,
MMIRS
, and
HARPS-NEF
. My software is deployed at the
Multiple Mirror Telescope
in Arizona and the
Magellan Telescopes
in Chile. Most of my work is in Tcl/Tk with extensions in C running on Linux computers. I'm also big fan of PMAC motion controllers which have their own proprietary language.
