How to become a Member of The Spaceguard Foundation

• Trustee Members: personalities of recognized scientific and cultural value, who wish to adhere to and to morally support the objectives of the Association. Trustee Members, composing the Committee of Trustees, shall be appointed upon proposal of the Board of Directors;
• Sustaining Members:
  • the founders
  • those who shall have explicitly requested to become Sustaining Members
  • Regular Members that have distinguished themselves by supporting the development of the Association through a considerable economic contribution and/or work commitment
• Regular Members: those who intend to be actively interested in the realization of the Association's purposes and who have filed an application for membership, declaring to accept the by-laws;
• Associate Members: those who limit themselves to finance the Association's activities and are interested in the problems connected with its purposes although not actively engaged in the pursuit of its purposes. Associate Members don't have voting rights.

2. fill the application form and send it to sgf-appl@brera.mi.astro.it; if you don't have access to E-mail, you can send the form to

   please don't send any money with the application form;
3. the Board of Directors will examine the application (usually this happens four times per year, at the beginning of each January, April, July and October); if your request is accepted, you will receive an official document, stating your admission as a Member of The Spaceguard Foundation, and instructions for the payment of the annual fee;
4. the membership fee can be paid through credit card (Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted), direct bank remittance or (exceptionally) by sending a bank check; a regular receipt will be issued.

The annual fees for membership are divided into four levels of contribution:

• Sustaining and Regular members (individuals): 50 USD
• Sustaining and Regular members (institutions): 100 USD
• Associate members (individuals): 25 USD
• Associate members (institutions): at least 200 USD
