Education:
After earning Bachelors (1973) and Masters (1974) degrees in Planetary Science from M.I.T., I developed astronomical software from 1973 to 1984 at M.I.T., with a sojourn at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York from 1976 through 1978, before ending up here.

Sky coordinates and images: WCSTools, SAOimage,
Occultations of stars by solar system objects
Astronomical Image Databases
Celestial cartography (SKYMAP), astrometry (RGSC and STAR) and mapping in general
Stellar and galactic radial velocities (RVSAO)
Outer solar system objects ( Pluto/Charon, satellites, Kuiper belt, etc.)
Working on more than 50 papers on astronomy and astronomical software.
Member of the American Astronomical Society and its Division for Planetary Sciences
AAS Division on Dynamical Astronomy Webmaster and committee member
Like all astronomers, I worry constantly about the weather.
