Education:: After earning Bachelors (1973) and Masters (1974) degrees in Planetary Science from M.I.T., I developed astronomical software from 1973 to 1984 at M.I.T., with a sojourn at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York from 1976 through 1978, before ending up here.

Professional interests: Sky coordinates and images: WCSTools, SAOimage,; Occultations of stars by solar system objects; Astronomical Image Databases; Celestial cartography (SKYMAP), astrometry (RGSC and STAR) and mapping in general; Stellar and galactic radial velocities (RVSAO); Outer solar system objects ( Pluto/Charon, satellites, Kuiper belt, etc.); Working on more than 50 papers on astronomy and astronomical software.; Member of the American Astronomical Society and its Division for Planetary Sciences; AAS Division on Dynamical Astronomy Webmaster and committee member; Like all astronomers, I worry constantly about the weather.; Fortran programmer (C, too)
