Work experience

*In December, 1982, the head of my research group, Prof. Irwin Shapiro, left MIT to become director of the Harvard/Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics (CfA), bringing with him the NASA contracts which were funding my work. I also left MIT at that time, accepting a position with the Smithsonian at CfA performing substantially the same duties under the same supervisor.
