OMBRO (BrO total column) and OMHCHO (HCHO total column) v2.0 have been released for Collection 3 OMI level-1b data. The current software version to flow to the GES-DISC is v2.0 OMOCLO (OClO slant column) is currently undergoing off-line testing and is expected to be released in early May 2008.
All three products had be previously released (versions 1.0). The use of this older version is discouraged, however, due to a range of known problems. Most notably, HCHO and BrO columns were understimated by about 30-40%, while OClO was overestimated by roughly 100%. These issues have been addressed in the new version.
A complete reprocessing of the OMI data record with the improved v2.0 products is envisaged.
