This page shows average OMI CHO-CHO vertical columns for all months in 2006 and 2007, created from the most recent version of the data, in Collection 3. The plot range is the same for all months, covering 1-6.0e+14 molecules/cm^2. Click on an image to enlarge.
Corresponding observations of OMI HCHO (formaldehyde) vertical columns in 2007 can be found here.

Annual averages are available (on a slightly different color scale than the images of the monthly averages) for both 2006 and 2007, and with either 20% or 40% cloud screening: 2006 (20%), 2006 (40%), 2007 (20%), 2007 (40%). Note that 20% cloud cover screening usually produces slightly higher columns, except in cases of intense biomass burning, like in Indonesia in 2006, where thick smoke plumes may be interpreted as clouds, and the glyoxal signal can disappear because of too stringent cloud screening.
There are also two 24 month averages for the period 01/2006 through 12/2007: 01/2006-12/2007 (20%), 01/2006-12/2007 (40%). The effect of smoke plumes being detected as cloud cover is most notable in the regions of South-East Australia and in individual spots in the eastern and central Amazon.
