Nearly comparable to AEGIS in redshift range. 1) I < 22.5 , 35k galaxies, =0.55 2) I < 24, 15500 galaxies -.75, tail to ~4-5 nominally 3) I < 24.75, 1000 galaxies, 600 arcmin^2, =1.4 , 40% z > 1.5 - Deep: 12,500 galaxies color-selected to be star-forming from z = 1.4-2.5; B_AB < 25. - 600 hr on VLT - SFR, chemical abundance, AGNs. The nominal goals for the samples are 100k, 20k, and 1k, respectively. - Magellan COSMOS - IRAC: 166 hr on full field. We have 150 hours on 0.16 sqdeg, so we have 12 times as much time per pointing. - MIPS: 38 hours in 0.16 sg deg, means 1.6 hr per pointing in FOV 5'x5'. Pretty deep! We have 2 hr per pointing in FIDEL. Direct time comparison says we have 94 hr in 0.25 deg, or about twice as much per pointing as they do over 1.5 times area. - XMM - Subaru Sensitivity: (AB, 5 sigma): B (27.4), V (27.2), r+ (26.9), i+ (26.9), z+ (25.6), plus narrowband imaging for better photoz's and to detect very distant galaxies. - Chandra: 200 ksec over 0.8 sq deg - GALEX: looks similar to EGS - HST - CFHT - JHK: does not seem especially deep: NOAO/Flamingoes; UH 2.2m; WFCAM on UKIRT. RMS not given. - VLA: 10 hours per beam in A array. RMS noise 25-100 microJy. PSF about 1.6". - Photoz's: Mobasher et al., optical filters only. To z = 1.2. Accuracy del z/(1+z) = 0.03. - Weaknesses: - Shallow IRAC? - Low-resolution spectra - Strengths: - Maps of LSS - Deep photometry, good photoz's to low z = 1.2
