C2H2RDME.INF 7/20/93 The 3 files of data containing VUV cross sections of acetylene are named C2H2A295.XSC, C2H2B295.XSC, and C2H2_195K.XSC as decribed in the publication: High-Resolution, VUV (147-201) Photoabsorption Cross Sections for C2H2 at 195 and 295 K by Peter L. Smith, K. Yoshino, W.H. Parkinson, K. Ito, G. Stark Journal of Geophysical Research, Vol. 96, No. E2, pages 17529-17533, Sept. 25, 1991. The first two files are the cross sections measured at 295 K: C2H2A295 contains cross sections measured at the Photon Factory, and C2H2B295 contains those measured at the CfA. The third file includes all the cross sections measured at 195 K from both the CfA and the Photon Factory. All three files are measurements of points which are listed in descending order of wavenumber. The files consist of one initial title/label line; a second blank line; and then a number of lines of data, each line corresponding to a measured point, and consisting of first the value of the wavenumber position, and second the value of the cross section/molecule (sigma) of C2H2 (in units of cm-2) at that position. A FORTRAN format statement for reading the data lines could be: FORMAT(1x,F10.3,3x,E11.3) There are two additional information files included: this one, and another containing the publication information of the article in which this data was presented (title, authors and addresses, journal reference, and the abstract). There are also some other data files: Three files with a .DAT extension contain the same data in a different format. The .10 extension refers to data at 10 cm(-1) intervals. C2H2P86.SAV is the proposal. =========================================================================
