Title: Constraints on Disk Galaxy Formation and Evolution from the Milky Way Galaxy

Speaker: Rosemary F. G. Wyse

Abstract: I will discuss our understanding of the stellar populations of the Milky Way Galaxy and its satellite galaxies, and the constraints these place upon theories of galaxy formation and evolution, with an emphasis on hierarchical clustering scenarios for the formation of structure in the Universe.
