The Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory is accepting applications for summer employment in the following areas:

Physical Science Technician: Writing codes, taking measurements, breaking down and setting up experiments, repairing laboratory equipment, analyzing data on a computer, or checking scientific references under limited supervision from a member of the scientific staff or laboratory manager. Job Title: Physical Science Technician, IS-1311, Grades 4/5, $15.80/hr to $18.27/hr

Office Clerk/Assistant: The employee performs a variety of Internet and database research functions and uses word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software. Job Title: Office Clerk/Assistant, IS-0303, Grades 3/4/5 $14.08 $18.27/hr
