Example 1: Imaging
Map a 1 sq deg region to a depth of 300 sec in J band. First, create a 10x10 dither catalog with 360 arcsec offsets, providing 50 arcsec overlap between
images. Slew the telescope to the field center. Select the J band filter. Determine the exposure time
that saturates your brightest object, by taking a pair of offset images. Load the dither catalog and then
take 10x10=100 exposures, checking star PSFs every ~10 minutes to maintain focus. When the dither
sequence is complete, offset telescope pointing by ~30 arcsec in RA/DEC coordinates, and repeat the dither
sequence. Repeat this procedure until total integration time is acquired.
