Dr. Jon Morse is an experienced executive, successful manager, prolific researcher, and effective communicator. His research interests include star formation, exoplanets, supernova remnants, outflows and feedback in the interstellar medium, and applying Galactic processes towards understanding the high-redshift universe. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated energetic and innovative leadership, passionate commitment to mission, scientific insight, technical expertise, and programmatic acumen in policy development, program implementation, budget & resource planning, and communication. He has a track record of success in academia, securing financial resources for research, delivering flight hardware, formulating and implementing programs & policies at the White House and as a NASA senior executive, and leading ambitious start-ups dedicated to frontier scientific discovery. His leadership abilities reflect significant academic achievement, student mentoring, hands-on technical knowledge, private sector and government executive experience, and government, academic and industry collaboration.
