Basic Information on hanning


Task: hanning
Purpose: Smooth a cube along the velocity axis
Categories: map combination

Hanning does a hanning or boxcar smooth on the velocity axis of miriad
datasets. It figures out which axis this is from the header. If not
given in the header it assumes that it is the z-axis.
The width of the smooth is determined by the keyword width.
If input data is masked, it is set to zero before smoothing is done.

Key: in
The input image. vxy and xyv images are acceptable inputs. 
No default.

Key: region
The region of the input image to examine.

Key: object
hanning or boxcar. Default is hanning.

Key: width
The number of channels of the smooth. Must be an odd number.
Default value is 3.

Key: out
The output image.
