One of the advantages using Miriad is that Miriad data reduction programs can be incorporated in a shell environment. The details of the setups for each Miriad task involved in reducing data can be scripted in a shell script. We show a few samples of the C-shell scripts that were used in preparation of this document, which may be helpful to the new Miriad users in the reduction of SMA data.
