Basic Information on smarewt

Task: smarewt
Purpose: Copy a uv dataset, re-weighting the visibility.
Categories: uv analysis

SmaReWt copies a uv dataset, calculating the mean values
of antenna gains in amplitude and multiplying the visibility
variances by the mean antenna gains. The re-scaled visibility
variances can be used as the weights in the imaging process.

Key: vis
The name of the input uv data sets. Several can be given (wild
cards are supported). No default.

Key: gain
The name of a uvdata with a gain table based on which,
the visibility data are re-weighted.

Key: select
The normal uv selection commands. The default is copy everything.

Key: line
The normal uv linetype in the form:
  line,nchan,start,width,step
The default is all channels (or all wide channels if there are no
spectral channels). The output will consist of only spectral or
wideband data (but not both).

Key: options
This gives extra processing options.
scalar Means do scalar averaging for the amplitude of gains.
             This is the default.
vector Means do vector averaging for the amplitude of gains.
report Means printing the mean antenna-based gains.

Key: out
The name of the output uv data set. No default.
