Short Biography

Natalie Batalha

Natalie Batalha is an assistant professor of astronomy at San Jose State University. She also works at the NASA Ames Research Center, where she uses NASA's Kepler spacecraft to detect extrasolar planets. Originally a business major, Dr. Batalha chose to study Astronomy when she took physics in college and learned that the universe had an order, and the key to understanding that order was math. Now, she develops programs with the NASA Ames Research Center to encourage students to pursue careers in the sciences.
