Selected Viz-e-Lab Projects

Viz-e-Lab

The Viz-e-Lab at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics was founded in 2011, as a place where researchers develop and test new visualization and e-Science approaches in research and education.

The Viz-e-Lab equipment includes:

  • Viewsonic Smart Board, with builtin Windows machine
  • Kinect
  • Hololens
  • Xbox

At its founding, the lab is used primarily by researchers connected to the Seamless Astronomy, WorldWide Telescope Ambassadors, and glue software development at the CfA.

The group welcomes participation from others interested in exploring new approaches to understanding scientific information.

Please contact Alyssa Goodman, or Sarah Block (sblock@cfa.harvard.edu) for more information.

To use the viz-e-lab please call or email Sarah Block, sblock@cfa.harvard.edu. The Viz-e-lab was created with generous funding from Microsoft Research.
